In a recent survey of endurance athletes, 75% said they were concerned about their weight. That’s because cyclists, runners, and triathletes know that leaner athletes are faster athletes. Leaner athletes waste less energy, burn less oxygen, dissipate heat faster, and even gain more fitness from every workout.
The Racing Weight Series, Matt Fitzgerald’s best-selling weight management program for athletes, introduced 6 easy steps that help athletes zero in on their fastest weight. Now Fitzgerald and dietician Georgie Fear offer Racing Weight Cookbook, a cookbook of the best foods for athletes who want to get leaner and faster.
Racing Weight Cookbook makes it simple to dial in the right mix of carbs, fat, and protein to  satisfy any athlete’s appetite without unnecessary calories. Athletes can put high-quality, well-balanced meals on the table in as few as 15 minutes with time-saving tips for food preparation and grocery shopping.
Racing Weight Cookbook uncovers the best foods for athletes:
* 100+ healthy recipes for any athlete, from reluctant cook to cooking enthusiast
* Whole grains, fiber, and lean protein to elevate diet quality

These are the milestones for the 8bar FIXED ALPCROSS
In summer 2012 the 8bar team needed a new challenge.
That’s how the idea came up to cross the alps with their Fixed Gear bikes.
The team started in Mittenwald/ Germany cycled all the way through Austria and then heated down south to Lake Garda in Italy.
You find a full diary about their trip here: 8bar-bikes.com/fixed-alpcross

Stanley and I will be putting on a Duathlon this Sunday at 9 am from the Corner Bar in Youngsville.

The distances will be 2 mile run, 10 mile bike, 2 mile run.
There will be no entry fee, no times or splits kept, but maybe some prizes!
Just a chance to get out there and push it.
The course will be a live one and helmets must be worn.
Come rain or shine, the Duathlon will go on….
