GoRide; iPhone Bike Mount by Bicio

Bicio recently launched their iPhone mount for the bike called the GoRide.
It uses a case for the phone (that can be left on as a protective case) that mounts into a bracket that’s zip-tied to your handlebar, stem or frame. It’s designed to hold it securely and within easy viewing and reach, and the design is open so that you can easily control the phone.
At $29.95 USD MSRP, it’s the least expensive mount we’ve seen that’s made specifically for bicycles, and you can get additional brackets for $9.99 so you can easily swap between two or more bikes.

Team Shack 2010
Team RadioShack - Roster Complete
23rd November 2009 – Johan Bruyneel, 2010 Team RadioShack manager, finalized the team roster. Team RadioShack, with seven-time Tour de France winner Lance Armstrong, will count on 26 riders coming from 16 different countries.
“It is a well balanced team”, comments Johan Bruyneel. “We have experienced riders - with some of them I worked already many years in my former teams – but we also have young talents who can develop in the perfect environment. I am happy that our sponsors want to invest in the future of cycling. Our main goal will be the Tour de France and other stage races but I am confident that, with these riders, we can perform very well in the one-day races as well. I look forward to the new season with Team RadioShack and our first training camp.”
Title sponsor RadioShack Corporation looks forward to the 2010 season as well. "Johan and Lance have methodically assembled an enviable team of riders and staff as strong as any on the Pro Tour, and we are confident that Team RadioShack is positioned for tremendous success in 2010", said Lee Applbaum, Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of RadioShack Corporation.

Sean Yates has been a sports director at Astana since 2008 and before that was at Team Discovery Channel and Team CSC.
Dave Brailsford, Team Principal for Team Sky, said: “Sean brings a wealth of experience and we’ve been very keen for a long time to bring him on board. He’s well known as a hard-working sports director with a deep understanding of the sport and good connection to his riders and staff. He will be a true asset to our management team and a great colleague for the other Sports Directors we have signed.
“Our ambition is to have our Sports Directors collaborating with the best available expert knowledge on all the relevant aspects of sport and we believe that it will provide Team Sky with a unique fundament to perform and win. Contador Signs Deal with Specialized, Will Likely Remain At Astana
Gazzetta dello Sport reports today that Alberto Contador will remain with Team Astana for the coming season. The Spanish two-time Tour winner also signed a deal with Specialized. The American company will furnish bikes for Contador and pay him 700,000 euro for the privilege. Contador signed the deal in Madrid at the main offices of the Specalized importer in Spain, and the contract runs one year with an option to renew. Gazzetta suggests that a deal between Astana and Specialized, who also provides bikes to Quick Step and Saxo Bank, is in the works, but is not yet complete. It is possible that Contador and his team-mates could ride different equipment during the coming season, if Astana and Specialized do not come to terms.
On Friday, the UCI is expected to confirm the pro tour license for Astana. According to Gazzetta, Contador is already thinking of future seasons, and though the Italian paper does not name its sources, Gazzetta appears quite convinced that it is a done deal between Contador and Astana. To buy out his existing contract, Contador would need to pay Astana 2 million euros, a requirement reportedly not changed by the team's license status. Gazzetta also dusts off the Ivan Basso to Astana rumor and suggests that Contador is planning to bring the Italian to the team in 2011. There is reportedly a close friendship between the riders (who knew?), and their representatives have already been in contact about a possible transfer.
But all that is for the future. At last we may have come to the end of the ridiculously drawn-out negotiations over Contador's future. He will ride for Astana on Specialized bikes. The end?

Floyd Landis up for grabs...
Momentum Sports Group (MSG) and Floyd Landis have mutually agreed to terminate Landis' Rider Agreement and thereby release both Landis and MSG from their respective obligations under the Rider Agreement for the remainder of the 2009 and 2010 racing seasons.
Landis returned from a well-documented serious hip injury and subsequent hip resurfacing procedure to assist MSG's professional cycling team in winning the Nature Valley Grand Prix, The Tour of Elk Grove and the Joe martin Stage Race during the 2009 season. For the 2010, Landis expressed to MSG that he desires to ride the longer, tougher stage races offered in Europe and Internationally that better suits his strength. Accordingly, given the MSG will be focusing its 2010 racing season primarily in the United States, MSG and Floyd mutually agreed it be best for both parties to part ways, so that Floyd can seek a position with a team that better can accommodate his desires.

John Cobb Saddles
![]()
Photo: Cobb Cycling
The V-Flow is a design that has been proven at the highest levels of professional triathlon and one that Cobb has been manufacturing and selling for over 10 years. In a press release, he talks about the process and theory of the V-Flow saddles. “I made the rear of the saddle narrower so that riders could position themselves properly on the back of it and not slide forward onto the nose. Then I created a pressure-relief trough in the center part of the seat so that riders could comfortably rotate their pubic bones (pelvis) forward for better posture and leverage, positioning the soft tissue into the pressure-relief cutout.”
The Max saddle is extensively shaped and shortened to maximize bloodflow to the gluteus and hamstring muscles. One feature of the Max saddle is higher density foam. “Ongoing testing with riders who spend a lot of time on their bikes demonstrated that a firmer surface can provide longer-lasting comfort if the seat is shaped correctly,” explained Cobb. “The new foam will save weight while providing enhanced comfort for long rides and high volume training.” The $170 Max weighs 255 grams and is readily identified by its distinctive shape.
And the new HC170 ($180) is a minimalist racer’s saddle with a narrower front end than the other models in the Cobb line. It weighs just 170 grams but packs all the biomechanical engineering of the entire V-Flow line.

BMC signs Cadel Evans, joins Hincapie and Ballan for 2010

The BMC Racing Team today announced the signing of current World Professional Road Champion Cadel Evans to a three year contract. This partnership will create mutually beneficial opportunities for both the current World Champion as well as the BMC Racing Team.
“Cadel brings a wealth of experience in the Grand Tours to the team.” BMC Racing Team President Jim Ochowicz stated. “As I said earlier, our team will have multiple chances to measure ourselves against the greatest teams in the world. We are pleased that we will have the opportunities to send out our most successful riders, now including Cadel Evans, to tackle these challenges,” Jim Ochowicz added. Cadel Evans compliments the current team roster that consists of seasoned professionals and young emerging talents.
For BMC, as a manufacturer of high-end bicycles, this surprise signing is a huge step forward. “We want to increase BMC awareness, popularity and sales worldwide. By signing Cadel Evans, we have laid the groundwork to promote the brand not only in Australia but around the world. We have now put our cards on the table and hope to be on the start line in the 2010 Tour de France,” according to Andy Rihs. “The current World Champion, Cadel Evans, as a BMC Racing Team member, will be giving his input into the advancements of our high-end product range which is an enormous opportunity for the company since for the best riders, only the best equipment is good enough,” stated Mike Hürlimann, BMC CEO. “Having a rider like Cadel under contract will be a huge motivation for us. We will enthusiastically aspire to stay true to our traditionally cutting edge innovations and work daily to make the BMC brand as good as it can be. ”
