This past weekend Eric Bernard and I drove over to Panama City for the Ironman. We ended up running the Penalty tent in transition. No we did not make a bunch of new friends but it was interesting. Neither one of us were signing up for next year so we were out supporting a good group from Lafayette, Baton Rouge, Lake Charles and Monroe. Neil Rome from Baton Rouge PR’ed with a time of 10:36, Amy Simonetta, a Pro and customer from Monroe had a time of 10:07. First timer John Storment got in with a 13:37 and Kerry Behrens finished with a time of 15:22. A couple of brothers from Lake Charles, Miguez boys had some impressive times also. From Lafayette Ria Bertels did a 12:14 followed by Dodd Foreman in a time of 12:24. Wendy Blankenship was chasing a demon from last year and fought it again this year. She had serious stomach issues from mile 70 of the bike and had to bail 13 miles into the run, she will be back for some more. Also ran into Patience Morvant from New Orleans, she was having a great race. Congrats to all the racers, we had a great time working the race with Will Jones, Sam LeBlanc, Dave Suter, Scott Guidry and Susan Hayden.

HUGE THANK YOU for you boys answering the call for help in the Transition Penalty Tent!! It's not a glamour job for sure, but it is quite interesting and can be very entertaining. We heard some doozies this year for excuses (we always do).
All the tents are chaotic but the Transition tent can be the worst because of its location. I owe ya.
Thanks boys!!
Susan
Hey Mark and all who attended the run late in the race. I know you weren't there "for" me, but it was warming, literally, to here my name called by someone who might actually know me. I trully appreciated a friendly face and cheer of encouragement. Thanks for coming to Panama!
Kerry
