Here's to the good old days of racing!
The Giro d'Italia is an amazing stage race steeped in tradition. Here's a video from the 1974 edition showcasing the exploits of the importance of the 'gregari' or the 'domestiques.' They are the tireless workers on a team asked to fetch drinks back to their leaders. The tradition of going into designated cafes along the route and literally emptying it of anything in a bottle was both fascinating and comical. It was not a surprise to see them grab the odd refreshing beer!

OK, so Saturday morning, what store can we go into and take any refreshments we need. I vote for Marcello's Wine Market.
